    Environmental Noise

Scroll down for more

Environmental noise is ‘unwanted sound’ by everything from transport, industrial and recreational activities. If you are a company which produces noise, you must make sure it does not disturb the occupants of nearby areas while keeping costs low. Examples of noise producing activities include:

  • Mechanical plant and equipment
  • Loading and unloading activities
  • Materials handling
  • Outdoor activities including conversation, amplified announcements, and music
  • Transport including vehicles arriving, departing and manoeuvring on site

Environmental noise assessments should be carried out in line with your planning permission, your environmental permit, BS4142: 2014, Environmental Protection Act 1990, WHO Guidelines for Community Noise, BS8233:2014 and as a result of any complaint you may have had from nearby residents.

How we can help

Our team have years of experience in carrying out environmental noise surveys. The aim of the surveys is:

  • To identify monitoring locations
  • To undertake non-consecutive noise measurements at all locations
  • Provide LAeq, LAmax, LAmin, LA90 , LA10  for each location
  • Provide octave or ⅓-octave analysis for each location

We will make sure you are working within the correct levels of noise and vibration with our acoustic surveys and provide you with a recommendation to stay complaint with regulations.

Make sure you are not producing high levels of environmental noise – get in touch with us today to request a bespoke quote.

We have been dealing with EEUK for around two years – we currently use them for our Exposure Monitoring and have found the onsite engineers have an excellent understanding of what we require. They also work around us, so there is as little disruption to production and staff as possible. Whatever we need, even at short notice, EEUK are there to help as quickly as possible.

Health and Safety Manager

NOVARES Peterlee Ltd

In the past we have struggled to find the right company to work with to carry out our Legionella risk assessments. However, since finding EEUK we have not looked back – they have great knowledge of the water treatment industry and provide excellent solutions with their technical expertise. They are an open and honest organisation which always put the customer first, providing a quality and efficient service that far outweighs the previous water treatment suppliers we’ve had.

QHSE Manager

Greencore Group

We have had a long relationship with EEUK due to the quality of the reports that I receive after a visit from EEUK consultants. There is always a very easy to digest summary, but still lots of detail. Another reason is their friendly approach – we have built up a personal relationship, which means that managing the work is made so much easier.
