Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

Hours:  8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday

About the role

In the newly created role of Commercial Occupational Hygiene Manager your role will be responsible for enhancing the commercial performance of the business. This is a key role to support the development and delivery of EEUK’s commercial strategy through evaluation of sales pricing and planning for operational delivery, improving our price competitiveness and ensuring the customer journey for all our valued customers is delivered to an outstanding level.

Day to day activities

  • Use your OH technical skills and experience to enhance the commercial performance of the business.
  • You will work closely with our Occupational Hygiene Technical Lead and commit to personal development whilst transferring that knowledge to the sales function of the business.
  • Develop and provide innovative solutions to monitoring, inspection and reporting processes.
  • Support the team with the preparation of and issue of quotations, tenders and works specifications.
  • To work closely with the Operations team to ensure Consultant’s time is planned to capacity.
  • To manage the complexities and fluidity of day-to-day delivery.
  • Pro-actively resolve operational and commercial challenges that may have a detrimental effect on performance against agreed KPI’s.
  • Continuously improve efficiencies with sales quotes and scheduling of work for the Consultants.
  • Be responsible for the training of sales members and visit the sites of clients to build accurate proposals. Help them understand the basic principles of our client sites and help them understand how to best provide what the client needs.

What about you?

  • You will have been an OH consultant and know the realities of site work and dealing with customers at different sites in different sectors.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Results orientated with a drive to ensure delivery on time of consecutive or overlapping activities.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Able to deliver and advise on all areas of Occupational Hygiene – Primarily WAM, Noise and LEV to support the price quoting process.
  • Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene.
  • Ability to work from our head office in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
