    EMF (Electromagnetic Field Testing)

Scroll down for more

Invisible electromagnetic fields are emitted by all electronic and electrical equipment when in use. Investigations have indicated that if EMFs reach certain levels, they have an adverse effect on the health of those exposed in two ways:

  • Direct effects such as nausea, headaches, vertigo and heating of body tissue, nerves or internal organs
  • Indirect effects including interfering with pacemakers, body implants and piercings

The type and extent of the effects depends on the type of electronic equipment used and the frequency bands the EMF emits. Due to the potential health effects, all companies must undertake a risk assessment of EMF exposure in their workplace, particularly if you work in welding, electrolysis or with electrostatic presses.

Testimonials

Venator

Historically, we have had LEV monitoring done by EEUK, but this was before I joined the company. Since I have been in this role, I have engaged EEUK to do fibre count monitoring on a kiln and we are planning a noise survey too. I have already received the RAMS pack for this job to review prior to the survey which is fabulous, I normally spend a large proportion of time when working with contractors trying to get this information.

EHS Officer

NOVARES Peterlee Ltd

In the past we have struggled to find the right company to work with to carry out our Legionella risk assessments. However, since finding EEUK we have not looked back – they have great knowledge of the water treatment industry and provide excellent solutions with their technical expertise. They are an open and honest organisation which always put the customer first, providing a quality and efficient service that far outweighs the previous water treatment suppliers we’ve had.

QHSE Manager

Greencore Group

We have had a long relationship with EEUK due to the quality of the reports that I receive after a visit from EEUK consultants. There is always a very easy to digest summary, but still lots of detail. Another reason is their friendly approach – we have built up a personal relationship, which means that managing the work is made so much easier.
