My story

I joined EEUK Group as an Accounts Assistant after taking a gap year following college. I was looking for an opportunity that would allow me to continue learning while earning a wage and gaining valuable real-world experience, and an apprenticeship offered exactly that.

Since joining the business, I have completed my apprenticeship, developing a strong understanding of financial processes and building my accountancy knowledge through hands-on experience. Working alongside experienced colleagues from day one gave me the confidence to apply what I was learning in a real business environment, helping me grow both professionally and personally.

One of the things I enjoy most about working at EEUK is the supportive team and positive working environment. Everyone is approachable and willing to answer questions or offer advice, creating a great balance between learning and day-to-day work so that it never feels overwhelming.

The apprenticeship has provided me with a strong foundation for my career, allowing me to build practical skills while developing my confidence and understanding of finance. The experience has shown me how valuable on-the-job learning can be and has opened up opportunities for continued development within the business.

If I could offer advice to anyone considering this route, it would be to absolutely go for it. An apprenticeship is a rewarding way to start your career, giving you practical experience, recognised qualifications and opportunities that can take you in many different directions.
